We are looking to attract key talent to add to our existing pool of highly sought-after professionalsJob DescriptionPURPOSEAn exciting opportunity exists at Fraser Alexander Zimbabwe, based at the SMC site, to ensure that all operational targets and contractual obligations are met on time and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining excellent housekeeping practices and driving operational excellence within your designated area.RESPONSIBILITIESOperationsPunctual adherence to site-specific time schedules and shift handovers.Valve operations – opening and closing of valves/deposition open ends.Conducting penstock operations according to standards, packing and wall dressing, as well as closing holes and gullies at the dam.Assist with all types of installations, including pipes, catwalks, platforms, freeboard poles (painting), berm penstocks, and maintenance.Any other related jobs/tasks as assigned by a person in authority. Health and SafetyWear correct PPE for each specific task, attend daily safety talks, report unsafe acts/conditions, follow written/ verbal safe work procedures, and ensure emergency preparedness.Basic InspectionsReport all defects related to pump stations, leaks, and spillages, as well as conduct inspections of pressure gauges.HousekeepingPractice good housekeeping around all pumps and valves, including cleaning solution trenches, catchment paddocks, drain rodding (removal of vegetation), and issuing materials from stores.TimekeepingAccurate reporting of personal time keeping.Job RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSA minimum of three Ordinary Level subjects, including English.EXPERIENCENo experience required but should be medically fit as per company standards.Any related experience in deposition and hydro sluicing will be advantageous.SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIREDGood communication skills, especially in English.
